Abbey Weddings have been filming Leez Priory Essex weddings for over 35 years, it’s one of our favorite venues, the wedding venue is superb for photography and videography. Hidden away in the heart of Essex just outside Chelmsford and only an hour away from London. Set in 40 acres of parkland, with a sweeping driveway, manicured lawns and lakes. Leez Priory is steeped in history.You have a choice of 7 licensed settings, 2 of which are outside. Leez Priory has a choice of 15 bedrooms to stay in and plus the beautiful hidden cottage hidden in the grounds you and your guests will remember your stay at Leez Priory for ever.
Here is some history of this wonderful Essex wedding venue. In 1220 Sir Ralph Gernon decided that the hamlet of Leez, in a dip by the banks of the River Ter, would provide the perfect location on which to found his Monastery. His priory thrived for over 300 years until King Henry V111 sent Sir Richard Rich to dismiss the monastery. When Sir Richard Rich became the Earl of Warwick, he built his own great house on the site that is now known as Leez Priory.
In the years that followed, the mansion has been home to the Earls of Warwick and has been visited by Queen Elizabeth 1st, Princess Mary and many other nobles from the past.
In the late 1980s, Leez Priory was purchased by its current owners, The Country House Weddings group. In May 1995, Leez Priory became the first country house in England to be granted a licence to conduct civil ceremonies. Leez Priory was also featured in an episode of the BBC TV programme, Lovejoy.

THE DIGITAL COLLECTION £995
We will start approx an hour and a half before the ceremony, shooting the final bridal prep, onto the service and main photo-shoot and then the reception reception for the speeches, cake cutting and 1st dances. The wedding photos will be edited and available on a digital download 14-21 days after the wedding.
THE PLATINUM+ STORYBOOK COLLECTION £1650
Two photographers will be in attendance for the ultimate coverage of your special day. it includes a fantastic top of the range (16×12) handmade wedding storybook album containing 50 pages, each page can contain either one photograph or multiple images in colour or black & white, selected from an unlimited amount of photos taken, photography starting at the family home, continuing through the service, the photo-shoot and back to reception for cake cutting and toasting shots wedding breakfast and speeches, first dance and evening celebrations, coverage continues until approx 10pm
THE GOLD STORYBOOK COLLECTION £1195
A beautiful A4 (12×8) handmade wedding storybook album containing 30 pages, approx 60-70 images. Each page can contain either a single photograph or multiple images in colour or black & white, selected from an unlimited amount of photos taken, photography starting at the family home / Leez Priory / Hotel, continuing through the service, the main photo-shoot at Leez Priory, speeches at the wedding wedding breakfast, coverage continues to the first dance or until approx 8.30pm. Add a digital download off all the edited high resolution copyright free images for only £99 extra.

A fantastic (14×10) handmade wedding storybook album containing 50 pages, each page can contain either 1 Photograph or multiple images in colour or black & white, selected from an unlimited amount of photos taken. Photography Starting at the family home/hotel/ Leez Proiry continuing through the service (if permitted), The photo-shoot and back to reception for cake cutting and toasting shots, wedding breakfast and speeches, first dance and evening celebrations, coverage continues until approx 10pm

Service begins with attendance at the hotel/ home/ Leez Priory to capture final bridal preparation and photo shoot of wedding party, then on to civil ceremony, with informal filming during the photographs being taken after, on to the reception to film guest receiving line, speeches, the cutting of the wedding cake, and concluding after the first dance.
THE DELUXE WEDDING VIDEO: £995
This service starts at the Family Home/ hotel / Leez Priory to capture final bridal preparations then on to full church/civil ceremony at Leez Priory, with informal filming during the photographs being taken after, on to the reception to film guest receiving line, speeches, the cutting of the wedding cake, and the first dance, filming of the evening celebrations, and its atmosphere until 10:30 pm (Additional hours £50 per hour) supplied on a USB.
THE PREMIER WEDDING VIDEO: £1495
Leez Priory wedding video filming from final bridal prep to 10:30 pm. for your special day Two Cameramen will be in attendance capturing all those magic moments, providing the ultimate coverage of your wedding day.
